The Drops of Rain and the Sunlight – Something That Has Not Changed Yet

I like it when the rain showers its drops on me. Are they costly? There is a price for everything that enters in our life. If I talk from my experience, there has to be a price for every breath, every sight, every action and every silent moment. I have not come across a single moment that had not asked its price. Whether it is emotionally negative or positive, everything asks the human being to pay for its action. For instance, if we take the breath, we have to pump the blood through our hearts and air through the lungs. The laziest bums also need to pump the blood and air through their body the entire day to remain alive. So, how can not drops of rain cost us?

before the rain reaches the ground, it burns us with heat and bloomy weather. When the bloomy weather want to give us a lesson, it brings all types of nonsense rain and nonsense breeze with it that does not please the soul and mind inside us. How can it please a soul that does not please other persons in this world?

In this bizarre world, I have seen everyone earns what they deserve. The patient is the winner – patience and forebearance are virtues not many don in this technology and highly advanced society.

We always hear the people around us singing: “Our times were better.” Now, 90s kids – which I am too – reassert the statement like my grandparents and parents did. Indeed, times have changed. The tiktoker world and the Facebook does not charm our souls the way the Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Son Pari and other dramas did. Now, the life is a drama in itself. We understand the when it rains, we need to bring all the furniture inside the house that is lying outside in the balcony. If we are living in a neighborhood whose light turns off when it rains, we have to make sure that we have battries, fans or generator. The life is getting more practical and environment around us gets estranged every passing day.

The meaning of rain and the meaning of natural phenomenon has not changed. Otherwise, lots of things have changed in the society. I personally do not prefer the artificial looks of people, filters (some filters I love) and pretense of education. Some words that Google had taught people have become the presentation of their education. Anybody who has learned to become sensitive to -isms is the most qualified. But how can education be qualified and quantified in this world where everyone has learned to feign the education?

I am a Pakistani – a proud one. I have no problem in asserting that technology is helpful. We did not get to learn the way today’s younger generation is learning – entire world is living at the tip of their fingers. If you are also a 90s kids, you should remember walking many streets away to your friend’s home for fetching a particular copy or book. This was the encyclopedia or wikipedia of the school’s teachings that we had. Stopping by the ice cream shop and passing a generous smile to the friend on the way back home were some of the highlights of this trip. In this way, the technological world. However, my 90s childhood world wins when it comes to personal development and childhood enjoyment.

It is really surreal to see people lisping against a giant phone – why would you do it? At least, learn to act, dance or sing. Lisping a song is not an art, my friend. It is good for fun.

In my world, beauty standards were not so much high. Girls, who were skinny, taller or dark-tone, would never feel superior or low at all. We all were friends. Now, the objectification of – not only one human being – all has risen to a new level. Now, people cannot step outside their house without equipping their face with lots of makeup. Kahan ka rule hai bhai? Just apply a cream and get out. It is the normal way of stepping out of your house.

I also do not like the fashion sense of these people. Am I old school? yes. I cannot adjust to the worst beauty standards – let me tell you I am not insecure. I just do not like the demands of people from your photos, videos and boomerangs. What the hell people would do with the videos and photos of yours? Judge? But why? You are beautiful in your own way. Maintenance of fitness is great. But everyone goes through a phase in life. Every phase has its own beauty. When we grew up watching our uncles and aunties, we knew the change occurs. So, lighten up a bit and throw the beauty standards in the bin – create your own world.

In this estranged, nonsensically technological and unattached world, I have the soul of a 90s kid. Times may change but we should never let the technology take the first stage. Let the rains cool you and bring the best in you. In this age, I have learned that the rains, sunlight and other natural elements remain the same but the world goes on. The advancement – good and bad together – keeps developing.

I choose to stay away from the Tiktoker world and bizarre beauty standards as I am awaiting the monsoon weather. It pleases my soul. The world is indeed a surreal place. When the lava ushers out of the volcano, I think we are living above the fire – which is true. The molten lava is the outer core layer but the God has blessed us with the rains on the ground. So, enjoy the rains as it teaches us to live and love. Peace out everyone.
